Putin Mocks Zelensky Over Trump Missing Nobel (Tv9)
Putin Mocks Zelensky Over Trump Missing Nobel: Russian President Vladimir Putin has mocked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who suggested nominating US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Putin called the comment "ridiculous" and said the Nobel Committee does not consider opinions like Zelensky's in its decision.
Zelensky recently said he would support Trump's nomination if he provided Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles and helped broker a ceasefire with Russia. Responding to this, Putin said, "Linking the Nobel Prize and arms supplies is ridiculous. This shows the level of the Kyiv regime."
The Ukrainian president previously said the long-range Tomahawk missiles, which can strike up to 1,500 kilometers, would strengthen Ukraine's defense and help bring Russia to the negotiating table. He added that if Trump succeeds in brokering a ceasefire, he will nominate Ukraine for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Trump has claimed to have "ended seven wars" and has even campaigned for the award. On the missile issue, he said, “I have taken a decision, but it is important to know where and how the missiles will be used.”
Meanwhile, Russia's Foreign Ministry warned that giving Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would push the crisis into a "new serious stage" and harm Russia-US relations.
